Reading Comprehension – first grade to second grade fictions (iPad only) by Abitalk has twenty stories about the children’s daily life. You can also create and add your own stories to the app. Each story has about 80 words, introduces new vocabulary and concepts and is followed by a set of exercises that measure the student’s comprehension. The exercises include multiple choice questions, true/false questions and matching exercises that ask the student to match words or concepts with their definition, compound words, suffix or prefix words.

ABC Phonics Rhyming Words by Abitalk is a fun game for young children to learn and practice phonics by finding pairs of matching words. By matching rhyming words, this game helps children recognize common word patterns and understand how the initial consonant, middle vowel and ending consonant affect pronunciation. They will learn to distinguish between long and short vowel sounds, and they will learn to pronounce consonant combination, such as “ch” and “sh”. These are all important stepping stones to becoming a proficient reader.

We have had it for 2 days, and the boy woke up asking to use ipad so he can use this app! This mom totally give it 2 thumbs up! Thanks for making my life easier!

Reading Comprehension would be perfect for my FASD daughter
I would like to win either app. Both would help my children in elementary school children. It is essential that children learn all skills ascertained from these apps.
I would like to win the reading comprehension app because my daughter is going into second grade but is reading below grade level. I think she would enjoy using it while improving her reading skills.
Reading comprehension. I have a 7 year old and a 9 year old both struggling with reading, below grade level.
Reading comprehension because my daughter needs practice in this area.
I would love the reading comprehension app for my son. We already have the rhyming words app and enjoy it.

I have kids on my caseload that could use either!
