Bella’s family is touring Vietnam in Bella-tastic style.

As a five-year-old accustomed to her own rules and routine, Bella must adapt to life in Vietnam – figuring out how to cross the street when there’s no cross walk, how to bargain with a street vendor and what to eat while away from home. She quickly learns that an open mind and a bit of courage lead to a super adventure. Bella’s enthusiasm for Vietnam’s history, culture and people will captivate kids and parents alike, enabling a thirst to explore the world.

An American girl living in Singapore, Bella is celebrating Chinese New Year at her school with a big party and we are all invited along.

With her infectious smile and zest for life, Bella connects with the people and culture around her, making new friends and learning through her experiences. Appreciative of Singapore’s customs and traditions, Bella guides us through orange exchanges with friends, the magical wish of a Lo Hei salad and the surprises kids find in shiny red envelopes during the New Year.

Bella’s Chinese New Year is also available in an app for the iPad and iPhone.   You can read our review here.   This eBook is on sale just for our Children’s Books Week, so be sure to download it and share the good news!

Oh my geez, LOL. wasn’t to great. First hotel adventure. Elevator door shut fast with the 2 lil kids on it. (9 with autism & 7) Wow you could hear them screaming on the 5th floor. At least we will never forget it.

Going to Mexico with my 1 year old daughter-so cute to hear her speak Spanish! Shopping in the mercardo, dancing in the plaza with the DJ playing ‘Baby baby baby oh!’ and playing at the beach-best place in the world for a mother and daughter to travel alone in. Everyone there loves babies and are very respectful and caring towards mothers.

Last August, I was staying just outside New York and was due to fly home on the saturday night, when the hurricane hit. JFK was closed and I couldn’t get through to the airline for 24 hours. when I eventually had a replacement flight organised it was to depart from Boston so I got a lift from a mad chinese couple to Boston and on the way it was like something from an epic evacuation movie, all the yellow school buses were racing out of boston (I don’t know where to) but it was really scarey and exciting.

  9. Emily says:

Last year we took our 2yo and 5yo twins to Bali. Very hot and overwhelming. Lots of high points and some lows. Kids are a bit wiser, bit older. Next week we go to the South Pacific cruising. In all honesty though – it’s all about camping up the bush.
