Bobby Ball in the Magic World – Eng Version by Maximize Games – Review and Giveaway

Reviewed by Grace

Bobby Ball in the Magic World – Eng Version by Maximize Games is a collection of 16 educational games in one app.   Guided by Bobby Ball and other characters, children get to explore 8 places in the Magic World and choose a variety of activities and games to play in each scene.

You can set up accounts for multiple players and indicate the age of the players between 3 to 6 years old.  Players aged 3 and 4 years old will play the easy level while players aged 5 and 6 will begin with the hard level of difficulty but you can change the level of difficulty at any time during the games.   Each game begins with a demonstration of how to play and to skip it, you just need to tap on the screen to continue.  Activities are designed for errorless learning and children are encouraged to play more to earn stars to collect cute characters for their own land in the Magic World.

The 16 games are designed to help children learn about number sequence, addition, shapes, colors, lower case letters and spelling of common words. Some activities require the players to use logical thinking and visual discrimination while some others exercise the player’s agility and memory skills.   Parents will like the  progress tracking  feature provided for each player.   The progress page shows how many percentage of each game has been attempted and the corresponding success rate.

Wishlist:-
1) ability to control the volume of the background music separately or an option to turn it off.
2) better audio quality for the singalong songs.  Having lyrics to accompany the songs will be great.
3) option to use lower case letters for the spelling activity.
4) shorter loading time.
5) more competitive pricing.

On the whole, this colorful app is worth checking out for it’s wide range of educational activities/games which are supported by a progress chart and motivational rewards.  Watch the video and download the free lite version to try out some of the activities.
