It needs to be user friendly, so that Speech Language Pathologists, teachers, as well as parents can individualize it for the particular student. Like that personal pictures can be downloaded to make it user specific.
Hi! I would like to use this app for helping my child to understand and speak. It will be a great app for my visual learning child.
PECS is something I can understand. There is nothing worse than having an ACC that I have to spend precious time to learn. How can I help teach it if I can’t understand it. I love a simple picture.
What a powerful tool to help all people reach their full communicative potential!
I won’t enter bc I already have it, but I’d just like to say that I really like it! I’ve been using it for typical AAC stuff and also language therapy tasks (I am an SLP).
Want to give this code to the speech therapist at my son’s ASPECT (Autism Spectrum Australia) school. She tries out all these PECS programs with the kids and gives feedback to the developers. The price for this app is really reasonable so it would be a great one to translate from school to home use.
I like to see full bodied apps that are intuitive with ease of programming. I like following the concept of motor programming to locate items within the boards. I like them to be easily customizable with quality voices.
I’m looking for an app this is user friendly, engaging, and able to target multiple skills for multiple students of various age ranges.
I like AAC apps that have a strong core vocabulary component as well as being easy to customize with user pictures that are meaningful to that individual user. Customizable grids are always always highly desirable, also.
Exactly what I am looking for
I like aac apps that are very simple but expand to very complex to grow as the child’s development grows. Has to be able to be customized to what is important and relevant to a child’s life and environment.
An AAC app needs to be user friendly and easy to program, have a built in symbol set and ability to add your own symbols/pictures.
I would love to see an app that has a ton of already made pages that you can pick and choose from. (Save a LOT of time building from scratch) I would also love to see it be able to grow with the student and to be able to import your own pictures is very important as well! Choices of different voices or the ability to record a voce is also important.
ease of programming
core vocabulary
context vocabulary pages
custom import ability
multiple high quality voices
this app looks great and fun to easy to use
This looks amazing. My son has ASD and this could really help with understanding emotions etc. I’d like to see apps that look at social stories to help him understand.
An AAC app should be user friendly, easy to navigate, and have the option for personalization.
would be great for my autistic granson
I look for flexibility within the app. No one communication app (or AAC device) works for everyone, so being able to take the basic framework that is close and tweak/customize the programming to meet the needs of the user is important.
App needs to be simplistic to enable younger children to understand.
I look for ease of use and a simple layout.
Thanks all for your interests and comments! Congratulations to Cassandra!
Wow! Just saw. Thank you!
