What we love…
Really precise, easy to see where you are drawing, nice weight and size, rubber grip. Nice bright colors.
Summary
Instead of the standard rubber tip this has a ballpoint tip, surrounded by a clear plastic disc, which makes it very precise and easy to see where you are writing or drawing. The tip really glides smoothly and easily across the screen. Apart from it’s precision my favorite thing about this stylus is how it feels to hold it – it is very comfortable to hold and a nice size and weight. Highly recommended.

The Jot Pro from Adonit is a revolutionary stylus. Instead of the standard rubber tip this has a ballpoint tip, surrounded by a clear plastic disc so you can see exactly where you are writing or drawing. The tip swivels so you can hold the pen at whatever angle you like and you get the same precise drawing. The tip really glides smoothly and easily across the screen, much more easily than a traditional rubber tip stylus.

The Jot Pro comes with a screw-on cap to protect the tip when it’s not in use, and this screws on the end of the stylus so you don’t lose it when writing. Apart from it’s precision my favorite thing about this stylus is how it feels to hold it. It is thicker than many styli making it more comfortable to hold, and it has the heft of a quality pen. The thing that really sets it apart comfort-wise is the rubber grip on the barrel – I just love how this makes it feel.

The stylus also has a fairly strong magnet it in so you can attach it to the iPad, but this doesn’t work with some protective cases on. Occasionally I have found when I first touch the screen with the Jot Pro there can be a slight delay before it recognizes it is there, so it can be worth waiting a few seconds before starting to write or draw, but once it has recognized it, it works beautifully. The Jot Pro is compatible with all capacitive touch screens: iPads, iPhones, MacBook Trackpads, Magic Trackpads, HTC, Samsung, Nokia, Motorola and Blackberry.
I have also tested this stylus out with my five-year-old daughter and it works really well for her too. She has some fine motor issues and so holding a pencil or pen correctly is a challenge for her, so I was pleased to see that she does a better job with holding this stylus than with others I’ve tried – the thicker barrel and rubber grip really help.
N.B. This stylus does not work well with sticky screen protectors such as the shiny Zagg Invisible Shield, you can find a list of compatible screen protectors here.
Highly recommended!!
