20121112-201907.jpgPic-See was founded by a Provisional Psychologist and Special Needs Teacher who had a dream of creating an easy to use app that would help parents, carers, therapists and special needs teachers around the world to deliver visual schedules to individuals with early, special and specific learning needs. Pic-See aims to cut down on the time spent currently preparing visual supports and return this time to the relationships, learning and development of children. Pic-See is an interactive and incentive driven visual communication system for children with early special or specific learning needs. It contains a choice board, emotion center and a visual schedule. To learn more about Pic-See, check out our developer interview. Here are the iTunes links for Pic-See and Pic-See Collective.

Frosby AppsFrosby started life as an interactive website in 2005, featuring UK designer Matt Wasser’s many animal characters. Since October 2011, with the launch of ‘Vlad’s Vampire Bats,’ Frosby now makes fun, educational mini-games for the preschool age group. In 2012, the collaboration of voice actor Julia Scott-Russell helped to get Frosby Learning Games onto the map, when the app was featured in Apple’s ‘New and Noteworthy’ education category. Frosby’s method is to start with roughly designed games, and then test them on the age group in order to see what kids like and what parents want. They aim to get the balance between learning and fun just right and believe in putting in the extra touches that kids notice. The combination of bright graphics, characters, variety and uniquely recorded sound effects really resonated with the age group, prompting Frosby to make a sequel that’s even wackier than the first! Frosby Learning Games 2 is out this December. To learn more about Frosby, check out our developer interview
