Easy Doks CR 34 : 6 dock Charger with Alarm, Clock and Radio – Review and Giveaway

599243_188957271232777_1516658416_nThe CR 34 is part of Easy Doks innovative line of smart chargers, and is designed to charge up to 6 devices at once. It is compatible with Smart Phones (including iPhones, Androids & Blackberries), tablets (iPads, Kindles and Android tablets), MP3 players, headsets, Bluetooth speakers, and more. It includes ports for six USB charging cables, two of which can be used for tablets such as iPads.

6 Port Smart Phone Charger with Alarm, Clock, FM Radio

The CR34 has a nice solid feel to it, and seems well-made. It has 3 cradles that can hold smart phones or tablets whilst they are charging, and you can charge three more with cables that come out through the sides of the charger.  It’s footprint is approximately 9 1/2″ x 7 1/2″ and it is approximately, 4″ tall.

The Easy Dok uses your own charging cables, so it is compatible with pretty much anything that charges via a USB cable. It keeps all the wires neat and tidy with two cable organizers that allow you to wind the excess cable around and keep the cable ends locked in the position you want them. These are hidden under a flip top panel so you don’t see them once it is set up. If you also use your charging cables for other things e.g. with a car charger or to hard sync with your computer then I would recommend buying extra cables so that you don’t have to keep putting them on and off the cable tidies.

The charger has Smart Current Detection (SCD) technology to prevent your devices from overcharging and has a built-in surge protector.

It also has a clock with a dual alarm and FM radio; this uses AAA batteries for a back up in the case of a power cut. You can plug your iPad, iPhone or other media player into the speaker so that you can use it to play your music collection too. The included remote control can be used for controlling the clock and alarm and changing the radio station or music volume. This is very useful as it means you don’t need it right beside your bed to use it as an alarm clock or music player. The remote worked for me at a distance of about 12 feet.

Overall, this is a very useful charger if you, like me, live in a household with many different devices that need charging.  The Smart Current Detection (SCD) and built-in surge protection are very useful features. I like that multi-tasks -it allows you to play you music collection through it’s speakers, whilst your iPad, iPod or iPhone is charging, and also doubles as an alarm clock and radio. The sound quality is better than  you would expect for a clock radio . The cable tidies keep all the wires neat and organized, and it is very flexible as it is compatible with pretty much anything that charges through a USB cable. I also like that i can charge our iDevices without taking them out of their cases, we have tried it with a variety of cases including Gumdrop drop tech, Lifedge, ZAGGFolio and Griffin Survivor and it has worked with all of them. Many multi chargers will only charge one iPad so I like that this is capable of charging two simultaneously. The CR34 has a solid construction, feels well -made and I would recommend it for households looking for a charging solution that allows them to charge multiple devices simultaneously.

The easy Doks CR34 has an RRP of $99.99 and is available from the easy Doks website or major retailers.

They also have other models available with less charging ports : the CR30 (4 charging ports) RRP $79.99 and the CR15 (1 charging port) RRP $34.99.

  6. Well, yeah, we have the devices and yeah, they always need charging. However, what I love about this is that it multitasks!!! Not only does it charge my stuff, I can use the speakers on it to play music from my iPad. It also has an alarm clock on it so I can give my alarm clock to my son and use this one instead!
