What we love…
super portable, easy to stream music on the go without having to worry about finding a plug due to the internal battery system.
What we’d love to see…
It would also be nice if there was an app to go with the speaker which showed the amount of battery life you had left so you could plan a bit better when using it without the plug. I found myself not plugging it in so as not to overcharge the batteries and ran out of power a few times.
Summary
Great speaker for on the go. Love that it’s portable and compact enough to be brought with you where you go and will charge your devices. Right on iON!
Are you looking for the perfect speaker when you are on the go? Check out the iON Road Rocker, a super portable speaker that you can take with you on the go without having to worry about finding a plug! This speaker system relies on internal batteries which last 80 hours and allows you to stream music wirelessly from your devices including iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, iPad Mini, Android and any bluetooth enabled devices.
I really liked the portability of this speaker along with the ability to charge both my iPhone and iPad using the cable and putting it into the dock system. The integrated cradle helped me feel comfortable with leaving my device charging while rocking to the music. I found that Pandora streamed very nicely into the speaker and loved that I could bring it from room to room at home as well as putting it in my car for on the go music and using it at parties. The speaker is compact and includes a port to plug in so you could insert a microphone for Karaoke or even use it as a speaker for an instrument. The integrated handle was nice when carrying the speaker so I knew that I had a firm grip on it while moving it around. My husband also liked the integrated subwoofer and tweeter which provided good base and helped to increase the sound of the speaker with the music.
I did find the sound distorted if you turned it up beyond the “halfway” mark when using the speaker. This wasn’t usually a problem for me as I moved the speaker where I was, but if you were using it in a large room and needed it to be louder that might be an issue. It would also be nice if there was an app to go with the speaker which showed the amount of battery life you had left so you could plan a bit better when using it without the plug. I found myself not plugging it in so as not to overcharge the batteries and ran out of power a few times.
Great speaker for on the go. Love that it’s portable and compact enough to be brought with you where you go and will charge your devices. Right on iON!
