Our Rating

If you have just bought an iPad mini and love it’s light, sleek design and want a case to protect it, that doesn’t make it big and bulky, the Enigma from Cygnett is a case worth checking out. The case has two parts – a soft rubberized back cover and an attached front cover that is reminiscent of an Apple Smart cover. Its very easy to put on – it literally takes seconds to snap it in place, and it feels very secure..
The back cover helps protect it from knocks, I probably wouldn’t trust it with a child who is likely to throw the iPad but for normal use it protects it well from everyday knocks. (For a case designed to stand up to throwing check out the Cygnett Workmate).
The front cover has a soft micro-fibre lining. The really fun part of the Enigma is how the front cover folds in different ways, to make different stands. It reminds me of doing origami.
The one addition I would like in the Enigma is for it to make use of the magnets in the iPad Mini to keep the cover shut, and to automatically switch the iPad on and off.
Overall, if you are looking for a “grown-up” iPad mini case that is fun looks stylish and keeps the mini light and slim the Enigma may be the case for you. It is available in Pink, Blue or Black from Cygnett’s website or major retailers.
