I live in the Netherlands and teach English as a second language, mostly to children between the ages of 4 and 10. I have started to use the Ipad for teaching phonics and grammar in a fun way. Kids love using the Ipad. However, my own Ipad is filled with apps that I like to use for myself, and with apps for my kids who are 6, 4 and 20 months. They love the toca boca and bamba apps. If I would win this ipad mini, I would use it to help my pupils learn English, which they need mostly because they will emigrate to an English speaking country. It is fun and therefor the best way to learn!

We live in Montana USA. I would love to win an iPad mini for my boys. They both have autism and my oldest also has had a kidney transplant. One is 20 and I was able to donate a kidney to him 15 1/2 years ago. He’s doing wonderfully, but his autism does make things interesting. He is much better than he was when he was younger, but it’s still a huge challenge to teach him social skills and work on vocabulary. My younger son is 7. He is having a really hard time at school right now and thinks anything that is about learning must be horrible. He has some sensory issues and just cannot sit still for very long. He has low muscle tone from the waist up, so holding a pencil and writing are very hard for him as well. He has some vision issues that we have been working on with an occupational therapist, but soon we will have reached our limit of visits through our insurance. I have seen so many apps for the iPad that are geared toward helping kids learn the things my boys really need help learning and they are offered in a fun way that doesn’t make them feel that they are actually doing work! Both my boys are falling through the cracks, and I just want to try to help them as much as possible so they have a chance at living as normal of a life as possible.

I would LOVE to win this product because the laptop I am using (which is my only means of communication currently) is falling apart. It is put together with duct-tape, and several of the keys are missing. Oh, and it doesn’t even charge anymore, so it constantly has to be plugged in. I have been trying desperately since I met a fellow OMS Warrior Maddox Churchill & his Mom, Melissa to get an iPad or iPad Mini for him. We both have the rare disease of Opsoclonus Myoclonus with Ataxia Syndrome. He is such a fight, gone 28 minutes without a pulse, a few weeks ago seized for over 5 hours and it caused him to gain a bit of damage in his brain & heart blockage. He is moving on to rehab today but could have an attack at any moment, His mother Melissa has become such a dear friend to me. She is trying to complete her RN License while her husband works 2 jobs. She is only 26 & Jeremy is 30. They have 3 other children under 6, Mason, 5 MaKaylee, 3 Madisyn. I do not know how they do it! We are praying so hard. He is the baby at 21 mo. He used to run, wrestle, scream, laugh, talk, giggle and smile with his siblings and friends& family. He now has a Trach, he hasn’t smiled in months and he is non-verbal. Just the day before his last Seizure from Epilepsy or Dysautonomia he was finally saying Dada again. Not any more. He is being fitted for braces on his feet and he has been in the hospital ICU, Mayo Clinic and now 1st day of rehab for 16 no 17 weeks now. Praying that Maddox will win this iPad Mini. I have worked relentlessly on A4cwsn for 3 months and just started entering these type of Raffle copters and actually reaching out to people about possibly a Chipin or SavingsFund for this baby. We help how we can for necessities but to them this is just a dream. I will not stop until it is a reality for our little fighter, Maddox Churchill. Hello! My name is Mary Fuda and I am from the USA. First I want to thank you moms for the chance to win a Ipad. I would love to win this for my son Josh. He is such a sweet boy,and has such a big heart for a 11yr old.For the first 8yrs of his life I was addicted to drugs so he had it pretty hard.Now that I am sobar I have been trying so hard to make up for all the wrong I did to him and the family. My grandmother had a stroke 5yrs ago and has to have 24hr care.So I put my life on hold, quit my job and moved in with her and now I am her caregiver. Nobody else in our family will help. So its just me, Josh and my oldest son Austin. He just turned 18 and is in welding school.Anyways Josh has been wanting one of these for so long but I just dont have the funds to buy one so I enter giveaways to try and win him one.But that is who I am trying to win it for. I live in Canada. The only “gadget” I own is this 10″ netbook. No cell phone, mp3 player, Wii, X Box, Tivo, etc. I still think records are cool. My boyfriend answers phones for an internet company (from home as they closed their office in the small area we live in) and so many people call with problems with their Ipads and neither of us have one for him to use to test what they are needing info about. t would give it to him, so he could use it for that and his own personal use.
